Yet there is more to the Fylde coast and Wyre district than Blackpool. The area is teaming with fascinating, quaint rural villages and market towns. Fleetwood's Famous market and the more recently opened, Freeport Shopping Centre are only a short drive away, all are easily accessible using the local bus service.
Some fabulous scenery:
In addition, family days out and interesting visitor centres are all to be found locally. If you fancy going further afield, the Lake District national park is only around 50 minutes drive away and features some of the most spectacular scenery in the whole country.
Fine dining and shopping:
There are numerous local pubs and restaurants offering fine cuisine within easy reach of the park and shopaholics are well catered too.
